In October, Baroness Wheatcroft hosted an evening reception for Working Chance at the House of Lords.
It was a fantastic opportunity to share with all our guests the business benefits of hiring women with convictions and young women care leavers.
Our keynote speaker Clive Schlee, CEO of Pret A Manger, said: “Hiring ex-offenders will enrich your company & strengthen your brand. It contributes enormously to the trust in our brand.”
As one of our former candidates commented: “I believe that two things are needed for people in my position: absolute determination to turn things around, and a helping hand to get there.”
It was great to meet so many forward-thinking businesses who were willing to talk about hiring women with convictions, and we would like to thank everyone who attended.
We look forward to continuing the conversations.
