Working Within

We know how important it is for serving offenders to start thinking constructively about life after release, in order to prepare in advance for the challenges of finding a job. This is why we take our employability training into prisons in and around London on a regular basis. Our expert recruitment consultants will come in every day over a two-week period to help you build up your skills and confidence around CV-writing, applications and interview preparation. At the end of the course, you will be able to register with Working Chance and start thinking about career options, if you are eligible for ROTL or release. We also run two-day disclosure workshops, which focus exclusively on talking to potential employers about a criminal conviction.

Working Lunches

We run our six-week Working Lunches courses three times a year here at our office in Islington, in north London. Participants meet once a week for an intensive morning of workshops and discussion. Each session focuses on a different topic, and the course will cover everything you need to know about finding a job, from writing a good CV to preparing for an interview to disclosing your conviction.

Candidates find these sessions are a fantastic way to share their experience with other women who have been through the criminal justice or care systems, to develop their confidence in a warm, supportive environment and to build up a network of relationships which will last well beyond the end of the course.
