Join our advisory panel and help women with convictions reach their potential

Are you a woman with experience of the criminal justice system?

Do you believe that no woman should be held back by her past?

Do you want to help other women like you in their journeys to employment?

Join us in supporting women like you fulfil their potential

As you might know, women who have convictions often struggle to get a job. Many are locked out of opportunities because of stigma, DBS checks, or employer discrimination.

Working Chance is setting up a fantastic new advisory group of women who have a conviction and/or caution to drive ideas about the right support for other women like them. It's a paid opportunity for you to:

  • Create change – share your experience and ideas to help Working Chance improve our services
  • Build your skills – get training and networking opportunities to grow your CV
  • Meet new people – connect with other women with similar experience

How it works

The group will meet for around 2 hours once every 2 months from October 2021-October 2022.

We’ll meet in person at our London office with the option of joining in via Zoom. We can also pay for your travel to meetings.

We’re offering over £150 worth of vouchers for your participation as a member of the group.

If you're a woman who have a conviction and/or caution, and are interested or have any questions, please contact Steph at steph@workingchance.org

About working Chance

Working Chance has been supporting women with convictions in their journeys towards employment and financial independence since 2009.

We offer a range of support, depending on each woman's needs, starting from employability workshops to finding the right career step for them - whether that's a job, volunteering, or other opportunities. We want to support even more women - but we need your help.
