What's happening?

Working Chance is pleased to announce its upcoming event, Inclusive Hiring in Practice, taking place from 2-5pm on Thursday 30 April 2026 at the Ministry of Justice, 102 Petty France, London, SW1H 9AJ. Supported by Serco and the CIPD Trust, this event is for decision makers who want to explore how organisations can extend inclusive hiring to include people with convictions, with confidence, clarity and strong governance.

The event will also mark the launch of our freshly updated landmark Hiring With Conviction guidance for employers, newly enhanced with employer insight and sector feedback.

Who should attend?

Many organisations want to widen access to employment - but have uncertainties about how to manage risk, policy and organisational confidence when recruiting people with convictions. This event will support, equip and inspire business leaders and decision makers, particularly:

HR Directors and Heads of HR

Chief People Officers and Heads of People

Talent and Resourcing Leaders

EDI and Inclusion Leaders

Senior HR Business Partners

Workforce Strategy and ESG Leaders

Building confidence in inclusion

Helping business leaders make strategic workforce decisions

This event will focus on the inclusive recruitment issues that business leaders have told us they'd like support with, including:

  • Building organisational confidence around recruitment of people with convictions
  • A proportionate approach to risk in recruitment
  • As EDI becomes a weapon in the culture wars, how employers can adapt their EDI agenda rather than dismantle it so they can meet the expectations of a modern workforce
  • How to increase the capability of hiring managers around recruitment of people with convictions

The event will combine expert insight from Working Chance and HR, social impact and EDI thought leaders with employer experience and peer discussion.

Attendees will gain:

  • Greater confidence in guiding their organisation's approach to hiring people with convictions
  • Examples of how other employers approach inclusive hiring
  • Insight into support available for employers on this journey
  • Connections with peers exploring similar workforce challenges
